Saturday, April 28 - Latta Plantation: Civil War Soldier For a Day
Boys and girls ages 8-12 will be mustered into the Northern and Southern armies for a day! This one day version of our popular summer Civil War Soldier Camp will take children back in time for a Civil War experience they will never forget! After learning about soldier life, they will drill, battle, and end the day with a graduation ceremony. Children will receive a Civil War kepi (hat) to keep and other equipment will be loaned to them for the day.

The individual Pitching, Hitting and Running Champions, along with the All-Around Champion in each age group at the Local Competition, will be awarded and invited to advance to the Sectional Competition. Participants will have the chance to advance through four levels of competition, including Team Championships at Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the 2012 MLB All-Star Game.

But those bubbles get expensive when the bubble solution goes so fast. And my kids definitely go through it fast! My solution is to make my own bubble mixture for the kids.
Long Lasting Bubble Solution
Ingredients:
- 1oz Dishwashing Detergent (Joy, Dawn or Palmolive work best)
- 1oz Glycerin
- 1 Cup of Water
Mix ingredients together ...
