Mooresville Public Library


Teen Advisory Board

The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) meets at 4:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of
every month. Community service credit is available; however, check with
your club advisor to make sure you will receive credit hours for the
service.

Cornelius Public Library

Homework Study Zone
Tuesdays from 4-6 pm
Drop by the Cornelius Library for the Study Zone! Spread out and get some school work done, study for tests, get homework help or free online tutoring.

Spanish Conversation Club for English Speakers
Fridays at 10 am
Improve your Spanish speaking and listening skills while discussing the
history and culture of Spanish-speaking countries. A grasp of basic
Spanish is recommended. No registration necessary.

Community Service Saturday
January 18th & March 1st from 2-4 pm
Being involved in the community is a great way to make connections and
build your leadership skills. Join us for various community service
projects as we create various items to be used in our community.

Learn, Connect, Play Wii
Jan 6, 13, 27.  Feb 3, 10, 17, 24.  March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 at 5-6 pm
Develop literacy, critical thinking and teamwork skills with video games!

From Screen to Screen
February 18 at 2 pm
Whether you already love the Superman graphic novel series or want to
watch the movie before reading it, join us for the film adaptation of
Man of Steel. See the story brought to life! This movie is rated PG-13.

A book discussion club for high school girls facilitated by teen
volunteer Emma. We are looking for new members. Books are available at
the branch.


North County Regional Library

Teen Create It Club
January 28, February 25, March 25 at 5:30 pm
Join the Teen Create It Club at North County Regional Library! Bring
your creativity and learn new skills and techniques as teens create
original art and writings. We meet on the fourth Tuesday of every month.
Snacks provided!

Books Come To Life
January 11 at 1:00 pm
Are you a John Green fan? Join us for trivia, book discussion and more!
Special prizes will be given out - and snacks will be provided.

Library Skills Workshops for Teens
Jan 15, Feb 19, Mar 19 – 11:00 am
Join other teens in learning how to navigate the public library. Learn how
to find materials, do research, take a library tour and more. Great for
homeschooled teens!

Puzzle Tuesday for Teens
Jan 7, Feb 4, Mar 4, Apr 1 – 9:00 am
Stop by the North County Regional Library Information Desk for a puzzle and a sweet treat on the first Tuesday of every month. Test your logic and
reasoning skills and your ability to think analytically with a
self-paced puzzle activity.

Trivia Tuesdays for Teens
Jan 14, Feb 11, Mar 11 – 10:00 am
Show off your trivia skills for a sweet treat every 2nd Tuesday of the
month. Test your knowledge on a variety of topics with a self-paced
trivia activity.

Teen Gaming Tuesdays
Jan 14, Feb 11, Mar 11 – 5:30 pm
Show off your gaming skills and join other teens on the second Tuesday of
every month beginning in November! Games included: board games, Xbox
& Wii gaming systems. Teens are also invited to bring their own
gaming card decks.

Word Search Tuesday for Teens
Jan 21, Feb 18, Mar 18 – 10:00 am
Test your logic and reasoning skills along with your ability to think
analytically with a self-paced word search. Ask for this activity sheet
at the Information Desk. You will receive a sweet treat when you return
your sheet.

Teen Anime Club
Jan 11, Feb 1, 22, Mar 15 – 2:00 pm
Join us in exploring Japanese culture and media awareness with teen anime
enthusiasts. The Anime Club is a group of fans, ages 12-18, who gather
in the library every three weeks to watch, discuss, and draw anime. New
members are welcome!

Teen Movie: 42
Jan 21 at 1:30 pm
We are celebrating Black History through learning about famed baseball
legend, Jackie Robinson. Join us on this day off from CMS schools!
(Rated PG-13)
