Good Morning Lake Norman Families!
Hi! I'm Melissa and I'm so happy to meet you! I just took over the role as Owner/Publisher of Lake Norman Macaroni Kid and I'm so excited about this new journey!
Over the last couple of days, you may have noticed a revival in the website with new posts, a few new events, and lots of plans on the way!! Some fun I currently have in the works includes a Fall Festival / Trunk or Treat event, Moms Night Outs, Princess Breakfasts, a Christmas Bazaar, and so much more!
About Me
In 2011, my family relocated to Huntersville from Atlanta. At the time, I was a new stay at home mom to a sweet little 10-month-old boy and 300 miles away from anyone that I knew....besides my husband. During that time I didn't really know what to do or where to go until a neighbor told me about a local mom's group (LakeNormanMommies- it's been gone for several years now)...once I found that group I got active in the community and started meeting other moms who became my core support group through this crazy journey of parenthood. We started attending free/low cost events in the community together, we would meet for coffee and let the kiddos play, we laughed together, we cried together, we did life together as moms. That's what I want Lake Norman Macaroni Kid to be for you!
Now, 8 years later, we live in Mooresville and I'm still active in the community. I know the Lake Norman area like the back of my hand and am eager to share all the fun with you! Above is my beautiful family who loves getting out and going around Lake Norman. You'll see them helping me with events and being an intricate part of our Lake Norman Macaroni Kid business.
The Events Calendar
I would LOVE your help in filling our events calendar! Any events that are family-friendly and free or low cost (under $10) can be shared on our calendar for free...simply fill out the Submit an Event form.
The calendar is constantly being updated, so check back often to see what's happening around town!

I am currently in the process of building out our NEW business directory...your one-stop shop for finding what you need.
