Saturday, June 15 - Concert at the Corner

Hopewell Baptist Church is hosting a Community Concert Event at the Church Ballfield on Saturday, June 15th at 5:30 p.m. The event is FREE and open to children, youth and adults from the Davidson and surrounding communities. The concert will showcase two local contemporary Christian music groups; Relevant Worship from Charlotte, and the Coca-Cola Inspirational Praise Band from Concord. There will be activities for the children, including a bounce house, games and face painting. The food will feature Toby & Sons Hot Dogs, in addition to hamburgers, chips, popcorn, soft drinks and snow cones. Bring a blanket and/or lawn chairs and join us for an evening of good music, food, fun and fellowship.

The Kids Triathlon Series was created to encourage youth to have fun staying active. By focusing on swim, bike & run, our hope is that participants will build lifelong healthy habits of setting goals for physical achievement. Saturday, June 22 - Cornelius Outdoor Cinema Series

Join us for outdoor movies under the stars!  All movies will be shown on our inflatable “blimp” screen. Weather permitting, movies will begin at dusk (approximately 8:30 pm), are free and open to the public, with refreshments available for purchase at each showing.  Movie dates, time, and location are subject to change.  
**The unique “Boat-In” movies at Ramsey Creek Park, hosted by the Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department, will give spectators the opportunity to view the movie from land or from the lake. Boaters will be able to watch the movie from their boats and receive audio via boat radio or handheld radio.

Tuesday, July 9 - FREE class Tuesday Together Time

Love, Faith & Courage. Let’s get our kids together to learn these important virtues through arts and games this summer. Join us for “Tuesday Together Time” on the second Tuesday of June (the 11th), July (9th) and August (13th) from 10:30am – 11:30. Children ages 2-4 will enjoy exercising their creativity during an art filled story time, while boys and girls ages 5-11 will exercise their bodies through energetic games. Bring the whole family! Grab a buddy and get your neighborhood friends involved.
This is NOT a drop off class. A parent or caregiver must participate in the art class with their 2-4 year old and must remain on the premise during the games for ages 5-10.
