Win tickets to see Rumpelstiltskin!

Davidson Community Players’ The Connie Company in collaboration with Davidson Day School invites children and families to the production of the classic fairy tale Rumpelstiltskin. The classic tale has been adapted and interpreted by the late Dr. Rupert T. Barber, Jr., professor of theatre at Davidson College.  This well-known tale is great family entertainment and fun for all ages.

“This production is a tradition with Davidson Community Players’ Connie Company,” says Matt Merrell, Executive Director of Davidson Community Players. “Rupert Barber is a beloved founder of DCP and it is an honor to bring his wonderful vision of this classic tale to the stage for the community.” 

Rumpelstiltskin will be performed at Davidson Day School’s Gordon Theatre; 750 Jetton Street in Davidson. Performances are Thursday, January 29^th at 7:30pm, Saturday, January 31^st at 10:30am, 1:30pm and 4:30pm, and Sunday, February 1^st at 1:30pm and 4:30pm. The show is approximately 50 minutes long and is perfect way to introduce young children to live theatre. Davidson Community Players is a non-profit organization established in 1965 to produce theatre that entertains, enriches, and encourages community participation in the dramatic arts.  The Connie Company is DCP’s theatre for youth division.  Both organizations have a long standing record of providing creative, authentic and affordable opportunities for both children and adults.
